Gallagher Developments is promoting land to the south of Shortstown for circa 1,200 homes alongside education, retail and open space facilities. The site is situated approximately 3.5km south of Bedford town centre and is well-located with access onto the A600.

The site is draft allocated in the emerging Bedford Local Plan, which is at Examination, and a planning application has been submitted.
